Apple Goody (or Pear Goody) Recipe

3 cups sliced apples or pears
1 cup sugar
1 ½ tbsp flour
1 tsp.cinnamon


Topping

¾ cup oatmeal
¾ cup flour
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ tsp soda
¼ tsp baking powder
dash of salt
½ cup melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients together and put in a small oblong pan. Use now, or freeze for later.

Mix the topping ingredients together and crumble over the apple mixture. Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes.

This was one of Mrs. Dorothy's favorite desserts to make. She always had pears, and in Jewett, so did we. I prep the pears and make the fruit mixture and freeze for use during the year. Just thaw and then top and bake.
