1 lb top round beef cut into small cubes
2 tbs butter
2 medium chop onions
1 1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp ground kemiri nuts (candlenuts)
1 daoen salam (Indonesian bay-leaf)
1 tsp laos powder (galangal)
2 cloves galic minced
2 dried chillies
1 tsp salt, pepper, nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan melt 2 tbs butter, saute onions for 10 minutes or until well browned.
Add diced meat, cook for 5 minutes longer or until the meat loses color, stirring occasionally.
Ass coconut milk, garlic, spices. Bring liquid to a boil and simmer for at least 1 1/2 hours until meat is tender. If stew becomes too hot, remove chilies.
