Raspberry Bread Pudding Recipe

2 cups freshly picked raspberries or 1 bag frozen raspberries, thawed
1 loaf of French or sourdough bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
4¾ cups milk
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Zest of 2 lemons
3 eggs
Sugar and cinnamon for top

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk, sugar, salt and lemon zest to a simmer.
Cool slightly and whisk in the eggs.
Place the bread cubes in a 9x13 well buttered pan.
Spoon raspberries on top plus the juice
Pour the custard over top of raspberries - do NOT mix.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
Bake at 350º for 55 to 60 minutes. Test in middle with tooth pick.
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
