1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1-1/2 cup self rising flour*
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 cup chopped pecans

*Substitute for each 1/2 cup self rising flour as follows: Place 3/4 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt in 1/2 cup measuring cup. Add all-purpose flour to measure 1/2 cup.

Filling:
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3-3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 T. vanilla
4 to 5 T. milk
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour and cocoa; gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in pecans. Transfer to a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350ºF for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake for 3 minutes, cake will fall in center. Spoon the marshmallow creme over the top, spread to cover. Cool completely. Cream butter; beat in powdered sugar, cocoa, vanilla and enough milk to achieve frosting consistency. Fold in pecans. Spread over marshmallow creme layer. Store in the refrigerator.
