8 slices white bread, crusts removed
3/4 lb. pork sausage
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
8 large eggs, lightly beaten
1-1/2 cups milk
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 can (10.5 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 soup can milk

Directions:
Directions:
Place bread slices in bottom of greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Cook sausage and ground beef with onion until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain. Layer half the meat and half the cheese over bread slices. Repeat. Combine eggs, 1-1/2 cups milk, mustard, salt and pepper; pour over casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Combine soup and milk and pour over casserole. Bake at 300ºF for 90 minutes.
