1 lb. ground beef
1/2. lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. ground veal
4 slices bread, pulled in small pieces
1/2 c. milk
1 medium onion, chopped finely
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. fresh parsley, minced
1/2 c. ketchup or chili sauce
4-6 slices bacon

Soak bread pieces in milk; combine with ground meats, onion, salt, pepper, and parsley; mix with fork until blended. Shape into loaf or pack into a loaf pan; cover with ketchup and bacon slices and bake at 350 F. for 1 hour until bacon crisps.

You can substitute 2/3 c. crushed saltines in place of the bread which is a nice change. Meat loaf was always a popular item at the Raymonds.
