3 egg whites
1 tbsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
4 oz. German chocolate, grated
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. crushed Ritz crackers

TOPPING:
1 c. whipping cream
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla

(Can use part topping and part cool whip)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites with vanilla to stiff peaks; add sugar and baking powder gradually. Continue to beat until it holds stiff peaks. Fold in chocolate (save 2 tablespoons for topping), Ritz crumbs and nuts.

Spread in greased glass pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let cool.

Beat topping ingredients together and spread over cool pie. Sprinkle remaining chocolate on top. Chill in refrigerator for 8 hours.
