Pie Filling:
¾ cups sugar
¼ cup flour
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cinnamon
Dash salt
6 cups apples, sliced

Crumb Topping:
1 cup flour
½ cup firm butter or margarine
½ cup brown sugar, packed

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425º. Prepare pie crust. Prepare pie filling by stirring together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt; add sliced apples. Prepare crumb topping mixing flour and brown sugar and cutting in butter. Turn pie filling into prepared pie crust. Top pie filling with crumb topping. Bake 50 minutes. Cover topping with foil the last 10 minutes of baking, if top browns too quickly.
Best served warm, with whipping cream or vanilla ice cream!
