8 oz. fettuccine, cooked and drained
1/2 cup butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 T. fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, melt butter and saute garlic. Stir in cream and pepper. Cook over low heat until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in cheese; cook over low heat just until cheese has melted, stirring constantly. Immediately stir in cooked fettuccine; toss to coat with sauce. Stir in nutmeg and parsley, if desired. Serve immediately. Note: If sauce begins to separate, stir in a little more cream and cook over low heat until smooth.
