1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 t. vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups fresh rhubarb, finely chopped
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Topping:

3/4 cup brown sugar
1 T. cinnamon
2 T. flour
3 T. butter, cut up

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Beat brown sugar and butter. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and soda together and beat into creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in rhubarb and walnuts. our batter into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Mix topping ingredients together and sprinkle over cake. Bake 45 to 50 minutes. Refrigerate leftovers.
