4 cloves of garlic – mashed
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cans of chopped clams – do not drain
1 lb. linguine – cooked al dente
1/4 tsp basil
2 Tbsp minced parsley (more if using fresh parsley)
1/4 tsp oregano
freshly ground pepper
Parmesan cheese, grated

1. Brown garlic in olive oil – discard when brown.

2. Add canned clams with liquid and spices. Cover pan and cook for 10 minutes.

3. Add grated Parmesan cheese to thicken as desired.

4. Pour over hot linguine. Top with freshly ground pepper and additional Parmesan cheese to taste.

Serve with garlic bread.

Makes 4 servings.
