2 lbs. chicken, cut into serving pieces
3 pieces dried bay leaves
4 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon vinegar
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1-2 cups water
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/2 tablespoon white sugar
Salt, and Whole peppercorn

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl combine the soy sauce and garlic, then add the chicken and marinade for 1-3 hours.
2. Place the oil in a pan and heat.
3. When the oil is very hot, place the marinated chicken in the pan and cook on all sides for about 5 minutes.
4. Pour in the remaining marinade from the chicken and add the water. Bring to a boil.
5. Add the bay leaves and peppercorn. Simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender.
6. Add vinegar. Sir and cook for 10 minutes.
7. Add the sugar and salt. Stir then turn the heat off.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
