2 C. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. white vinegar and water to make 2/3 C.
1 egg
1 tsp. orange rind
1 C. chopped cranberries
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 C. sugar
1/3 C. orange juice
1/4 C. shortening, melted
1 C. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients, including sugar and salt, into a mixing bowl. Beat egg, add liquid, orange rind and melted shortening. Add all at once to flour mixture; stirring until flour is just dampened. Add cranberries and nuts. Stir only to blend well. Turn into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 60 to 70 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.
