1 cup medium noodles (does not specify what kind or shape)
2 cups baked ham strips (about 1/2 lb)
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped green peppers
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
2 - 10oz packages of Bird's Eye peas and pearl onions with cheese sauce, slightly thawed (or substitute)
Cereal topping (bran flakes)


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º
Grease a 1-1/2 qt baking dish.

Cook noodles as directed on the pkg. and drain well.
Sauté the ham slices, celery, and green peppers in the oil in a skillet.
Add the milk and vegetables and bring just to a boil

Add noodles to the skillet and take off the heat.

'Pour into the greased baking dish and sprinkle cereal topping around the edges.
Make the cereal topping: Sauté 1/2 cup of Post bran flakes in 1 tsp butter in a small skillet. Remove from heat and mix in 1/4 cup shredded American cheese (or cheese of your choice).

Bake for about 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Remove from oven, cool slightly, but serve hot.
