1 cup sugar
grated lemon rind
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
1 egg
1 tablespoon butter
juice of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, lemon, rind, cornstarch and salt. Pour 1 cup boiling water over this mixture, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
Beat 1 egg and pour mixture into egg, stirring constantly. Add 1 T. butter and juice of 1 lemon. Mix.
Serve hot over cake.
