2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light Karo corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter
2 cups chopped peanuts
1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat and stir sugar, syrup and water I a 3 quart saucepan till sugar dissolves. While syrup boils, stir in butter. Stir often after 230º. Add nuts at 280º; stir constantly to hard crack stage (305º).
Remove from heat. Quickly stir in soda, mixing well. Pour onto 2 cookie sheets. Stretch thin by lifting from pans as soon as possible. Break up. Makes 2 1/2 lbs.
