Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Preheat oven to 375°F.

2 cups flour (approximately)
1-1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2-cup butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cream or milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift 1-1/2 cups flour with baking powder and salt.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy and light in color.
Beat in egg, vanilla and cream.
Stir in flour mixture
Add enough remaining flour to make dough stiff enough to roll out.

Refrigerate until well chilled.

Place on lightly floured board; roll about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes with floured cutter, or use cookie press.

Sprinkle with sugar or leave plain so you can decorate them.

Bake on un-greased baking sheets at 375° for 8 10 minutes. Transfer to cooling racks.

You can make heart-shaped cookies for Valentines and Sweetest Day; bunnies for Easter or cars for your little auto aficionados and so on.
Use your imagination and have a good time. Don't worry about a little flour mess on the floor. Take a bunch of pictures and make memories.
