Ingredients: |
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups lukewarm milk 1/2 cup sugar 2 teaspoons salt 2 eggs, beaten 1/4 cup soft butter 2 packages rapid rise yeast 1/2 cup warm water 7 1/2 to 8 cups flour
|
|
Directions: |
Directions:Combine warm milk, sugar, salt, butter and eggs. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to other ingredients. Add half of flour, mix well with spoon until smooth. Add flour to handle easily. Knead dough on lightly floured board for 10 minutes. Cover and let set for another 10 minutes. Roll out in very thin rectangular shapes. Spread filling onto dough (see next page), roll as for cinnamon rolls, and twist in a circular shape like a snail.
Place in three greased 9-inch pie or cake pans. Cover and put in warm place to rise, about one hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Makes three loaves. |
