1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. grated orange rind
3 tbsp. orange juice
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs until light. Add orange rind and juice. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add rolled oats, raisins, and nut meats, mixing until blended. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.
