4 tbsp butter

4 large apples; your choice; however,suggested Granny Smith

1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup cinnamon

1 pinch salt and nutmeg

1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:

Melt butter in a large skillet

Add apples (peeled and diced)

Add white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg. Simmer and stir until all ingredients are well combined and apples begin to soften

Once cooled down than use them for pies, tart, etc.

P.S. hubby and I like in the sandwich maker on white bread; yum
