1 1/4 C. flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 C. milk

Directions:
Heat oven to 450º. Melt butter in the oven in a baking pan, 9 x 9 x 2 inches. Remove pan from oven. Measure flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add milk and stir with a fork just until the dough forms a ball. Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface. Roll dough around several times to coat with flour. Knead lightly about 10 times and roll into an 8-inch square. With a floured knife, cut the dough in half, then cut each half into 9 strips. Dip each strip into the melted butter, coating both sides. Arrange the strips close together in 2 rows in the pan. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
