2 lbs rump or sirloin tip

for garlic mixture:
1 clove garlic, cut fine
3 sprigs parsley
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper

2/3 cup oil
1 large can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1 onion
3-4 cloves garlic
1/2 t basil
4 1/2 cups water
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Cut slits into meat and fill cuts with garlic mixture.
Brown meat in oil. Add garlic and onion when evenly browned. Add tomato puree and paste that has been diluted with water. Add seasonings. Cover saucepan and cook about 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
