1 lb. ground beef
1 (28-oz) can tomatoes
1 tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. oregano
½ tsp. crushed red pepper
1 bay leaf
1 small onion, diced
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 ½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. thyme
¼ tsp. garlic salt

Directions:
Brown ground beef in large pot. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 to 45 minutes. Cook 2/3 package lasagna noodles according to package directions. Layer sauce, noodles and (32 oz. ricotta plus ½ c. Parmesan cheese plus 1 c. mozzarella, shredded plus 1 egg mixed together) for several layers. Top with 1 cup mozzarella, shredded. Bake 375º for 45 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes.
