Ingredients:
1 cup Milk
1/2 stick Butter
1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
6 Tbsp Sugar divided
1 Tbsp Yeast
2 3/4 cup Self Rising Flour
2 cups Powdered Sugar
1/3 cup Water
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
Vegetable Oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk, nutmeg, salt, and butter. Microwave for one minute. Add 4 Tbsp sugar and mix until dissolved. Add yeast and 2 Tbsp sugar and mix. Add flour one cup at a time, mixing between each cup. Allow to rest for one hour. Turn onto a floured board and knead for 3 minutes. Pat to 1/2 inch, and using a round cookie cutter, cut three inch circles. Using your index finger, poke a hole in each dough circle and stretch to form a small doughnut shape. Place oil in an iron skillet and preheat to medium-high. Place each doughnut into the skillet, turning with a chopstick when each side is browned, about one to two minutes on each side. Cook no more than two or three at a time to keep oil hot. Drain doughnuts on a cooling rack. Combine water, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Dip each side of doughnuts individually into the glaze and return to the cooling rack. Serve warm. Makes 2 dozen small doughnuts.
