1½ cups grated sharp cheese
3 tablespoons self rising flour
¼ cup cooked rice
Dash salt
¼ teaspoon red pepper
3 egg whites, beaten stiff
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Flour and cracker crumbs to roll the balls in

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice- Mix cheese, selfrising flour, rice, salt, pepper and worchestershire sause . Fold into stiffly beaten egg whites. Form in balls, toss on floured board and roll in cracker crumbs. Fry in deep fat to brown each side.

These are really different and good.

My mother-in-law, Margie Swalm, used to make these all the time. Sometimes when the sweet corn was in, she would have sweet corn and the cheese balls for a supper. All three of her sons and husband loved that supper.
