1 pound shredded khadahif dough
1/2 pound unsalted butter, melted
Filling
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 1/4 cup heavy cream
1 1/4 cup light cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
Syrup
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Break dough into 3-4 inch pieces in a large bowl. Gradually drizzle melted butter on dough while mixing until dough is all coated.
Filling
Whisk together cornstarch, sugar, and milk until smooth and set aside. In a heavy sauce pan bring 2 creams to a boil. The cream should come up in the pan. Stir in the cornstarch mixture. It will thicken immediately, cook for two minutes on lower heat. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Put half of buttered dough in an 8x10 pan. Cover with filling and remaining dough.

Bake 375º for 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned.
Mix syrup ingredients and boil for 5 minutes.
Pour half of syrup mixture on cooled khadahif. Cut into squares and pour the rest of syrup.
