1 Cup Butter
8 Tablespoons Sugar
2-2½ Cups Flour
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter.
2. Add sugar gradually.
3. Sift flour with cornstarch.
4. Gradually add 2 cups of flour mixture to the butter.
5. Slowly work the remaining flour mixture in by hand until small cracks appear in the dough.
6. Form into 4 or 5 balls.
7. Flatten each ball into a square ½-¾" thick.
8. Cut dough into log-like pieces 1"x3".
9. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350º 30 minutes or until light brown.
