Personal Notes:
This recipe was shared with Dean by Jewel McKenzie Wilde.

"Meme used to tell us that when she first married Pappy, she didn't know how to boil water, didn't know how to cook much of anything. They first lived with Pappy's parents- who only spoke German. Meme learned how to cook by watching Pappy's mom. I take this recipe to be what she used as her chicken noodle soup too, 'cuz she would cut those strips very thin- like egg noodle width. I remember one time I asked her to write down the recipe and she told me there wasn't one. She said you just had to throw in a little of this, a pinch of that, and get a feel for the texture- so I guess this is as close as I got."
