1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup uncooked instant rice
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 gup chopped celery
1 pkg (10oz) frozen asparagus cuts, defrosted
2 tbsp flour (white)
Dash of black pepper; dash of nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp instant chicken bouillion (granular)
1/2 cup skim milk
1/4 tsp paprika

Boil the water and add the rice to it. Let stand covered 5 minutes, until the water is checked'

In a 2 qt casserole, combine onion, celery, and asparagus. Cover and simmer.

Mash the asparagus mixture with a fork. Stir in the flour, seasonings, rice and milk.
Cover, and cook until thick. Sprinkle with paprika.
