1/2 c. Soy sauce
1/2 c. Catsup
3 T. Brown sugar
1 T. Ground ginger
1 tsp. MSG
2-3 lbs. pork spareribs
1/4 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first five ingredients for sauce. Let stand several hours or overnight. Rub spareribs on both sides with sugar and salt. Let stand two hours. Brush with prepared sauce. Let stand at least one hour. Place meat side up on.rack in shallow pan. Bake in very hot (450º) oven for 15 minutes. Pour off fat. Continue baking in moderate (350º) oven for one hour or until done, turning ribs and brushing with barbecue sauce a few times. Cut in pieces. Note: can be done the day before and reheated before party.
