2 1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp. of sugar
1 tsp. of salt
2 packets of active yeast
1 egg
2 tbsp. of olive oil
1 cup of warm water

optional: 4 cloves of coarsely chopped garlic

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In food processor, mix yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let stand till yeast foams (about 5 min). Add oil, salt, and flour. Mix until it forms a ball. Knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes and add garlic. Shape dough into a ball and place in a bowl. Cover with a towel. Let the dough rise for an hour. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Punch down dough on a floured surface. Shape into a loaf. Let it rise covered with a towel. Use a serrated knife to make a slit down the middle about 1/2 inch deep. Beat egg and paint loaf with egg wash. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove and allow it to cool on a rack.
