2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
½ lb. butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
½ cup chopped walnuts

Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately with sour cream.

In a separate bowl, mix topping ingredients.

Place ½ of batter in a lightly greased tube pan. Sprinkle on some of the topping and some nuts. Place remaining batter on top, then spread rest of topping and nuts. Bake 1 hour at 350º.

This recipe was shared with me by a co-worker at my first full-time job in the early 1970s. It remains a favorite and is great for holiday celebrations and brunches.
