2 Gallons of Chokecherry
2 qts.. water
2 oz. tartaric acid
Sugar To be Determined

Directions:
Directions:
Grind 2 gallons chokecherries—pits and all
Add 2 qts.. water with 2 oz. tartaric acid
Stir and let sit 48 hours
Squeeze out juice with cheesecloth
Add 1 1/2 C sugar to each cup of juice
Stir thoroughly until sugar is dissolved and put in air-tight container.
To can: Boil 5 minutes. Ladle hot syrup into hot jars. Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
