Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground turkey (*see note below)
1 (1-ounce) packet (about 1/4 cup) taco seasoning
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (28-ounce) can petite diced (or normal diced) tomatoes
2 (15-ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed
1 1/4 cups barbecue sauce (your choice)
2 cups frozen corn
salt and pepper to taste

*don't use ground turkey breast-- it's too dry-- just use the normal ground turkey that includes some dark meat

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large, microwave-safe bowl (like a large pyrex bowl), microwave ground turkey and taco seasoning, stirring occasionally until turkey is no longer pink (about 10 minutes). (As you stir the turkey, break it into smaller chunks.)

2. Transfer mixture to slow cooker, breaking up any remaining large pieces of turkey. (The turkey doesn't break down much more in the slow cooker.) Stir in tomatoes, beans, and barbecue sauce. Cover and cook until turkey is tender, 4 to 5 hours on low.

3. Skim excess fat from surface of chili. Break up any remaining large pieces of turkey with a spoon. Stir in corn and let sit until heated through (about 5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve. (Note-- at this point the chili usually needs a pretty generous helping of salt. The amount of pepper I add sort of depends on how spicy the barbecue sauce already was.) Serve with your favorite chili garnishes.
