6 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 beaten egg

1 tsp vinegar

1 pound lard

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 6 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in lard with pastry blender till like cornmeal.

Beat egg with vinegar and add water to make 1 cup. Pour egg, vinegar and water mixture over dry ingredients and mix.

Roll out on floured board





This recipe came from my mom back in the 1950's for my hope chest. She taught me to make this and always said if I go hungry I can always make pie of some sort which is true
