2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 lg yellow onion,sliced
2 (28 oz) can San Monzano peeled tomatoes
1 c chicken stock
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 c half & half
8 lg fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
1.4 tsp dried oregano
Kosher salt
freshly ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil on medium-high heat. Add garlic, saute 30 seconds. Add onion cook till translucent, about 8 minutes. Add tomatoes, chicken stock and sugar. Bring to slow simmer, cook 12 minutes. Add half & half, oregano and salt and pepper. Blend with immersion blender until there are no large chunks.
