Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Fresh Alaska salmon filet
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbs. fresh lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in small sauce pan over low heat. Add brown sugar, soy sauce and lemon juice.

Rinse salmon filet with fresh water and pat dry. Cut filet into appoximately six to eight, 4-oz. servings. Leave skin intact. Place fish (skin side down) in a shallow, non-porous glass dish.

Pour three quarters of the cooled marinade mixtures over salmon filets; make sure they are well coated. Cover and marinade for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Cooking:

Prepare an outdoor grill to medium-high heat, and lightly oil the cooking surface. Grill salmon for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, turning only once. Baste fish with reserved marinade while on the grill. Cook until salmon just begins to flake; it may be slightly translucent in the center. The fish will continue to cook once it is removed from the grill. Be careful not to overcook.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
From Orca Point Lodge, Juneau Alaska
We had a great whale watching expedition in Juneau which included lunch at the Orca Point Lodge, located on an Island outside of Juneau. This was the best salmon that we've ever had.
