2 cups raisins
1 cup water
1 cup shortening
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3 cups flour, sifted
1½ cups oatmeal, regular
1 cup nuts
¾ cup coconut, flaked

Directions:
Directions:
1. Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes, drain and cool slightly.
2. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Mix well.
3. Add vanilla and raisins.
4. Mix dry ingredients, then mix small amounts of dry mixture to creamed mixture until all is combined.
5. Drop by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie pan.
6. Bake for about 12 minutes or until brown at 375º.
7. Place cookies on a wire rack to cool before storing.
