onions

cucumbers

pickling salt

water

6 cups white sugar

3 cups vinegar

2 tsp mustard seed

1 tsp celery seed

2 tsp turmeric

Directions:
Slice and cut onions and cucumbers and let stand either overnight or for 3 hours in refrigerator if overnight.

In 1/4 cup pickling salt and enough water to cover vegetables; approx. 5 quarts of cucumbers and 1 quart of onions sliced


Combine white sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric

Bring sauce to boil and add cucumbers and onions. HOPE YOU HAVE A BIG POT. Bring to boil again and place in proper clean canning jars and seal according to proper procedure


Guaranteed delicious or at least I thought so back in late 1960's
