1 box yellow cake mix plus ingredients. Can sub lemon or white cake mix

2 (21 oz) can apple pie mix ; I just buy 2 cans; have never looked at the oz.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

1/2 cup water

Oven 350º 9 x 12 or 11 pan.

Make cake mix according to directions on box.

Pour apple filling in pan. Pour cake mix on top of apples.

Melt butter with water and pour on top of cake batter.

Bake 50 to 60 mins. or toothpick comes out clean
