1 c. chocolate-flavored malted milk powder
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
½ c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
¼ c. milk
1 c. chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 350º F. Cover a greased cookie sheet with waxed paper and grease again. (See note below)
Sift together malted milk powder, flour, baking powder and salt. With softened butter in mixing bowl, add brown sugar gradually and continue mixing until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla vigorously. Stir in the malted milk powder mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir in chopped nuts.
Drop dough from a teaspoon onto cookie sheet, spacing about 3 inches apart. Bake 12 minutes, remove from baking sheet and cool on racks.

This recipe is at least 50 years old and I don't know if parchment paper was available for baking that long ago. If you don't want to do all that greasing, try the parchment.
