"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Personal Notes:
well..there you have it. The extent of my mother's wonderful Sand tart recipe that she says is from HER mother. No directions. It is assumed cooks will know what to do with the ingredients. Mom rolled them out inot the THINNEST possible cookies and cut with cookie cutters for Christmas. These cookies were like currency in our house. She had to hide them before Christmas or we would eat them all. The rolling took a long time. My brother Joe is still considered the true conniseur of Sand Tarts.
