French Bread Recipe

2½ c warm water
2 T yeast
3 T sugar
2 T white vinegar

1 T salt
⅓ oil
6-7 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine water, yeast, sugar and vinegar and let sit until bubbly. (3-5 min)

Add remaining ingredients and knead for 2-5 minutes. Place in oven with small pot of boiling water. Watch dough and punch it down when it gets to top of mixing bowl. Do this 2-5 times.

Divide into 3 sections. Roll into long french bread shapes. Slash tops. Cover with beaten egg

Let rise 30 minutes (or until bread doubles in size)

Bake 375º - 30 minutes
