1 Stick Butter
1 Stick Margarine
½ cup Crisco shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs (room temperature)
½ tsp Almond Extract
½ tsp Coconut Extract
1 cup whole milk
3 cups flour (sifted)
¼ tsp baking powder
dash of salt
1 can Angel Flake Coconut (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a measuring cup, combine milk and flavoring.
In a separate bowl sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
Cream butter, margarine Crisco and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time (Very Important) beating two minutes after each addition.
Continue to mix, alternate adding ⅓ milk mixture the ⅓ flour mixture until all is well blended.
Fold in coconut (optional)
Pour batter into greased loaf pan(s) and place in a COLD OVEN. Turn temperature to 350º and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Note: If cake begins to get too brown, place foil loosely over top.

I never knew grandmother to ever add coconut to her Pound Cake but I included it because it was part of her recipe.
