3 sticks butter
3 cups sugar
3 tsp vanilla
8 ounces cream cheese
3 cups cake flour
6 eggs
½ tsp baking powder
3 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream softened butter and cream cheese. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing after each egg. Add ½ of the sugar, mixing well. Add remaining sugar. Add other eggs. Mix in flavorings. Add flour and baking powder, mixing well. Pour in greased and floured pan. Swirl with knife to release air. Place in COLD oven and turn to 325º. Bake for 1½ hours. Let cool on wire racks for 15 minutes.

We were introduced to this pound cake at Rachel and MK's wedding. MK chose a pound cake bar for his groom cake. We had pound cakes and many different toppings to choose from. Cathy was crafty enough to finagle the recipe from the baker!
