Baghrir - Moroccan Pancakes |

Ingredients: Recipe with milk and egg:
3/4 cup fine semolina flour 5 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 tsp. sugar Pinch of salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 1/4 tsp dry yeast 1 1/4 cups warm milk 1 egg
Syrup: 6 tbsp. honey 2 tbsp. butter 1/4 cup water

Directions:The method for making Baghrir is the same for both versions of the recipe:
1. In a blender, add all the ingredients and blend until smooth. 2. Pour mixture into a big bowl, cover and let rest in a warm place for 30 minutes. 3. Heat a nonstick pan, pour 1/4 cup of batter into the middle of the pan. 4. Let cook on medium heat until the surface is dry and full of holes. Do not flip.
Remove from pan and keep warm. Do not stack like regular pancakes as they will stick together.
Syrup: In a saucepan, add butter and honey and mix well on medium low heat. Add the water and increase the heat. When it boils, turn off the heat. |
