Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 English muffin
1 slice American cheese
1 slice Canadian bacon or ham
1/2 teaspoon unsalted butter
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat a small heavy skillet over medium heat. Split the English muffin and toast it in a toaster. Put the English muffin on a plate and put the Canadian bacon on one half and the American cheese slice on the other half. Once the skillet is hot, add the butter. Once the butter has melted and is sizzling, carefully break in the egg. Cook the egg on one side until the white has cooked through. Use your spatula to keep the egg in a round shape. Break the yolk with the spatula and spread it around the top of the egg white. Cook for about 10 seconds, then turn it over and cook the other side for about 30 seconds. The egg is done at this point. But we like our eggs well done. If you do to, keep poking and turning the egg until it is firm all over. Transfer the egg onto the English muffin half with the cheese on it and put the other half (with the Canadian bacon) on top.

OPTION: Add a slice of tomato.
