1 Can Black Beans
1 Can Water
½ Can Tomato Sauce
1 Garlic clove (smashed)
2 Lg Culantro Leaves (aka "recao")
1 Bullion Cube (chicken or ham flavor)
2 Tbsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Oilve Oil (or oil that you prefer)
1 Pkt Sazon con Achiote
2 Tbsp Sofrito (your own or by Goya)
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Ground Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan add olive oil, salt, pepper and Sofrito. Mix and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Add Black beans, can of water, garlic clove, Sazon, culantro, tomato sauce and Sugar. Mix then bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Then let beans simmer for 30-45 minutes. Stirring every so often so they don't stick on the bottom. Adjust to your own taste.
