1 cup Butter
¾ cup, packed Brown Sugar
½ cup Granulated Sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla
1 Egg

2 ¼ cups Unbleached all-purpose flour
½ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda

2 cups Chocolate Chips (Ambrosia or Costco brand with real vanilla)

Nuts
Coconut
Other

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add chocolate chips, (and optional ingredients, if using). Mix well. Roll a heaping tablespoon into a ball. Place each ball 2” apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and place cookies on a cooling rack.
