3/4 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 t ground cloves (optional)
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
2 cups oats

OPTIONAL:
1 cup peanut butter, chocolate or butterscotch chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat butter for 30 seconds. Add sugars, powder, soda, cinnamon and cloves (optional). Beat until combined.
Beat in eggs and vanilla. Beat in as much flour as you can, adding the rest with a spoon.
Add oats, Add chips and/or nuts if desired.
Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.
Makes 54.
